Just so we aren’t strangers on our first call, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I live in the heart of Illinois with my wife and 4 children about two hours southwest of Chicago. I’m a born and raised Midwesterner, but I have a passion for the wide-open spaces of the American West and hope to relocate my family soon! I like to say “I ain’t West, but I’m midway there”.

 In my spare time (the little I have – fellow parents will understand) I enjoy collecting historic blades from around the world - my current favorite is a handmade katana made by a master bladesmith in Seki City, Japan. I also like to tinker on my diesel truck as well as small engines like dirt bikes and snowmobiles. Of course, like a good Illinoisan I always watch the Chicago Bears on Sunday and consistently lose money betting on them with my heart instead of my head – what can I say, I suppose I’m just a hopeless romantic football fan.
