We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology and SaaS industries, with a keen understanding of the manufacturing sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving sales growth.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients in the technology, SaaS, and manufacturing sectors.
  • Conduct outbound sales activities, including cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach to generate new leads.
  • Understand client needs and present appropriate SaaS solutions to address their challenges.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted sales strategies and campaigns.
  • Schedule meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team with qualified leads.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics, including lead generation and conversion rates.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on client interactions and market demands.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the technology, SaaS, or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS products and their applications in various business contexts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with potential clients.
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to conduct thorough market research and identify new business opportunities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads and track progress.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in selling to the manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as SPIN, Challenger, or Solution Selling.
  • Understanding of the product development lifecycle and how SaaS solutions can support it.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Location:  Remote with preference of location Mid-West

Travel:  Regional, limited

Job-Type:  Full Time, Exempt

Compensation:  Base + Attainment variable.  Base compensation will depend on multiple factors including location, qualifications, and experience.
